I have a 1962 Johnson 40hp (model : RD-24). The motor still runs pretty well, but stalls when in idle. Can someone help with regards to the settings for the motor, i.e. timing, spark plugs etc.
Howdy, Monty.<br /><br />I think your best bet is to get a Service Manual.<br /><br />There are several interactive adjustments that affect idling, as well as several faults that could contribute.<br /><br />Generic manuals are available here (bottom of page).<br /><br />Good luck.
