Severe weather is coming

Things are going to get real nasty this afternoon in the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys. Severe tornadoes are forecast across the entire region. Everyone take precautions and I hope to hear from you tomorrow.

We've got flashlights and candles ready in the basement.

If I lived in the midwest or anywhere where tornados are prevalent, I'd dig out a underground shelter - they are so scary! Much better safe than sorry!

Here in S. Illinois (near Harrisburg) we dodged a bullet. Lots of wind, rain and hail but only one tornado sighting in West Frankfort with no damage. Now the sky is blue the sun is shining the wind is absolutely howling and the temp. is dropping. 34 deg. tonight with 35 mph winds.

Hope everyone else is as lucky.

Dodged the bullet here, but devistation north and south of us. Bad day for some counties and families. Prayers sent.

Tornadoes passed us in all directions. Mrs. Tyme went to pick up her elderly sister that lives in a mobile home before the storms arrived. My neighbors don't have basements, so the neighbor on my south side came over with his two golden retrievers, the neighbor to the north came over with 3 dogs and 4 children. My oldest son came over with his beagle and another sister of Mrs Tyme was here. We had a basement full but all are safe and the brunt of the storm just missed us.

The only damage is a large cedar limb that missed my kitchen window by inches.

I give thanks to the Lord for sparing us and pray for those that were affected by this massive storm outbreak.

Woman and two infants just found in debris deceased. death tally is rising and now its dark so rescue will be slow. One firehouse is gone. they saw 3 tornados and one hit there station.

Just a mess out there, will see if we can lend a hand in the morning up in Indiana or a little down south from me. Seems some communities are completely gone and some tornados were a 1/2 mile wide and stayed on the ground for over an hour. Concrete,asphalt and soil/grass have been stripped from some areas. Gods speed to everyone in those areas and there rescuers.

I just saw on the weather channel that computer models are forecasting Atlanta will take a direct hit later tonight..VH Stay safe Brother...

Glad your all ok. 14 dead in Indiana so far but still lot's of rubble to sift through. We're 2 hrs. southwest of you and it was a scary day here.

The past two days is the 5th worst tornado outbreak ever.

Looks like we're in the clear here in Nashville. All best wishes and prayers to those in Indiana and Alabama - I saw some damage assessments tonight as well as the casualty numbers. Those to the east of us - stay safe.

Not too bad 'round here: there'll be some damage and a few minor injuries. Otherwise, all is well. Thanks for the well wishes.
