Hello I have seen where a lot of people ask how to read the Sevtest gauge .Will I got my email back from them and this is what they said : Andy, It works like this: As you inflate the main chamber, the PVC stretches. This moves a strip of material imbedded in the gauge. When the little fabric gauge gets between A and B, you are at the approximate working pressure for the boat/kayak. I know other people said to do it diff but this is how they said to do it so figg they know what they are talking about .i called Sevylor and they told me the same thing .They said the pressure for the FH360 is .065 bars or .9 lbs

Hello most 360 have the gauge on them its the strip on the right inside. And Sevylor sell a guage on there web site that fits the boston valve.

Do not exceed the max recommendd pressure stated by the manufacturer, had a Sevylor 380 many years ago, remember the pressure had to be in middle A-B marks, liked to inflate towards B (more pressure if remembered correctly) was hit by a large wave and the sib just ripped a lateral tube by the seam because of over-inflation issue

These boats uses a very light 2 fabric welded togehter to form the tube seams, the more costly modern sibs uses a 4 fabric seam welded together and thicker more resistant fabric for their tubes.

Yes like I stated in the post Coleman/Stern and Sevylor said how to air it up and how much pressure to put in it .And how to use the test strip.

From what I recall, when using the foot pump thatcomes with the boat. You can never put enough air in the boat by using that animal.(The body weight won't allow for it) Another tell-tale test is got to the stern and push down on the rear point of the pontoon,(The pointy end, only in the back)) Kinda like giving CPR Compressions. If you can curl the nipple over easily, then there is not enough pressure. The schools I've gone to always say the pontoons are usually under inflated and almost always can use more air.

I don't know why but 3-5 psi sticks in my head but not sure if this is correct or if it is 8. but I'd go with the nipple test.

I looked on my FH360 and it says to inflate to .065 bars or .9 lbs which is kind of low but that what it said.

It's a matter of filling correct air volume not a pressure issue by itself, surely will blow tubes if planning 3.0 psi inflation. Higher numbers are for big brothers other brands more professional sibs.
