sewed up some seat cushions

I needed permanent cushions and backrests for the boat as I had some floatation cushions screwed down as temporary cushions. I was originally going to buy vinal, foam, and all that, but instead I used the bow seat cushions. The material was in good shape, so I disassembled them, cut the new patterns in the vinal, and resewed it all together to get the proper dimensions. They turned out pretty decent, and are much better than the cheesy floaties that they replaced.

Re: sewed up some seat cushions

Thanks guys. I am by no means an upholsterer, and I freely admit that. I was able to "reverse engineer" when I took the old cushions apart, and the parts with the piping were reusable. I had not touched a sewing machine since home ec back in school, and that was quite a bit of time ago. I have the utmost respect for those who are actually skilled at this sort of thing, I managed to eek my way through it with acceptable results, can't say what will happen next time...
