Was offered an amazing deal and couldn't refuse. So now there's a nice shiny new 2006 model V6 MPI in the old girl. Pushes her along at 42 knots (49mph). Cruises comfortably at 20 knots doing just 3000rpm

Hi RPJS,

One of the main reasons for the change (from a carbed V6) was to save fuel. I know you guys are really getting stung, but we are still paying AUD$1.25/litre. (that's USD$3.80/gallon for our American friends).

Stevieray, It's in a 1972 Bertram Bahia Mar 20.

When a friend of mine hear I was replacing the old V6 he asked if he could buy it... I told him all the problems with the engine, not that there were any but the leaky Weber, and he was happy. I got the install job on it too. The man is over the moon! Absolutely loves it, and the leaky Weber doesn't bother him at all. The only downside is that I still have to maintain the thing. But that's not too bad either, I do know the engines history quite well
