Nothing new. They have been around for ever. They have their place and are very absorbent. Use to use them as towels on backpack hikes. The ShamWow crowd is just trying to make a buck from something old while making it sound new and revolutionary.

Every annual auto show I go to has a booth selling those things with a different name.

Re: Shamwow

My sister purchased a couple at a car show a few months ago and gave me one. They do a good job on large volumes of water but not so good as a final dry. Paper towels or old newspaper does a much better job for the window glass.

Look closely at the ad. He pours the "soda" onto the piece of carpet and you have to watch closely, they go to another scene where he supposedly picks up the soda but under the carpet its dry, whereas in the scene before it it was wet. Watch it closely It's a skam. It should be called skamwow.

You can get those same cloths at Dollar Tree for a buck. They even have the "Made in Germany" ink mark on them. I have seen them for years at flea markets and bike shows being sold under one name or another. Nothing more than a scam.
