Any idea where I can find the right pins?
Right now I'm using a brass bolt, and I'd rather have the proper part, with a few spares.
Thanks!

Try part number 307949 - from your local Evinrude parts department.

laingsoutboards.com has most of the maintainance parts for that motor. they specialize in the older motors. great to work with. if you don't see what you need on the site, call Jeff on the 800 #

You can go to iboats marine store and type shear pin under search and it will show you a universal pack with several sizes for $10.35. If you have a Tractor Supply around you they carry a wide range of sizes of shear pins, and sell them individualy so there cheaper. I would pick up some spares. In fact I carry an onboard toolkit and it it I keep a little box with spare shear pins, cotter pins and some bailing wire. Oh don't forget a roll of duct tape.
