Drove down to Kentucky on Monday and picked it up! The interior really is in as new condition, not a loose thread, rip or tear anywhere. It came with a full mooring cover so I'm sure the prev owner pretty much kept it covered. There is some very minor blemishes/dock rash that I'm sure will just buff out. Overall condition really is fantastic for an 18yr old boat...very pleased to say the least!! As an added bonus there is only 235 hrs on it!
The trip down and back was a blast! Went with a great friend who has a nicely done 19' Islander. While I was checking the boat out, he kept saying over and over, "well, ya buying it or what"? I found out later that he called his wife and told her "if Dan doesnt buy it I'm taken it". After I make the deal we of course head out to buy some celebratory/mandatory adult beverages and find that we are in a dry county
. Oh well, we sat on board when we got home back and celebrated
.
Lake Cumberland Marine had some outrageous looking boats in the showroom, many offshore racer types including one 54 footer!!! What got me drooling was a 38' Fountain sport fisher with triple 300 merc outboards. Anyhow here is the link for that place for those who may like to have a peek...look under the new and used boat section.
