Does the shift cable screw into the bell housing so it is flush---what is the typical depth. I assume it is NPT thread and will stop before it is flush. My threads are a little corroded and seem to prevent propper depth. I cleaned the thread the best I could, but I am unsure of just how far it should go. Also, does anyone know what a good alternative to Perfect Seal would be.
