Shift cable wont fit in bellow..

I'm putting a new shift cable bellow on, but I can't get the cable to go into the small part of the bellow. Its like trying to put a hot dog through a cheerio. Tips?

Screw the stainless steel extension on the end - it will help.

Spray a bit of Power Tune as a lubricant (or dish-washing liquid)..

The way ive always done it is put a little bit of oil in the small end of the bellow an rub a lil bit on the brass end of the cable jacket. Now put the big end of the bellow in the palm of your hand with the small end between your first two fingers an work the end of the cable into the bellow. Thats what works for me.

i sanded down the brass cable end a bit and used wd40.. I also took a round file to the bellow a bit. She ended up poppin through, thanks guys.
