Shift Clevis

I recently acquired a 1975 Mercury 200 20hp serial # 7054130 Canadian model. It came with 2 parts motors from 2 different year models - late 60's or early 70's I believe.

The issue I'm having is it didn't have the shift clevis on it so I dug through the parts box and found the one in the attached photo(s). As you can see it doesn't fit. I see a few online from years previous and post to 1975 but can't seem to find one for 1975 and don't know exactly what it looks like for comparison.

If anyone can help out, please let me know.

Also, what function does the blue/green button serve in the bottom left of the photo?

No Title

Just to update: I managed to find the attached photo last night and believe it answers one of my questions. The kit part # A-46455A3 can be searched and brings up a couple of websites with it available - one for $83.99 US. Heckuva deal, IMO.

The only part I needed was the shift clevis and found a used one on Ebay with all the smaller parts already attached.

Still not sure on the green/blue button/switch.

Could the blue/green be covering the flush port? Second look,it seems too high for the flush port. Maybe someone had a switch there...is it electric start?

Ahhhh. That's exactly what it is...a start button. It has 2 wires running up to what appears to be a solenoid, under the cowling and beside the coils. It than has a heavy gauge wire that would attach to a starter, running to where the starter would be.

There actually was a starter in the parts box so maybe after I get some of the main issues fixed, I'll look into that.

Thanks, 60sboater. Much appreciated.
