Put in to gear and heard racheting and the motor did not cut out.So looked at it today in my drive way and checked the inturupter switch and its working fine shuting down motor. So i tried adjusting the cables and no luck. The shifter cable is working fine but not moving interupter for brief cut out to go into gear just getting racheting sound and then its in gear.So not sure if i need new cables any help would be great thank you to :)everyone

Re: Shift cutout switch problem

Those drives do not suddenly fall out of adjustment. The lower shift cable wears out, corrodes or what ever and needs replaced. You may also have a drive problem, but 99% of the time it just a bad cable.

Again, head up to the Adults only section and download the OEM manual for your drive. ALl the info you need for checking it out is there.
