I'm not sure where to hook up the wire for the Shift Interrupter Switch. I bought the boat with a waterlocked engine and all the electrical connections had already been disconnected.

I believe since I have the EST ignition it needs to be hooked up to a 12v source?

It looks like it was connected to the slave solonoid... judging from the length of the wire and the size of the connector?

It would be nice to know exactly what you're working on. But if it's a Thunderbolt V with a knock sensor the shift interrupter switch has to be grounded.

Driver's side. Is there anywhere around there that would have switched power for a ring terminal? Maybe the PO just had it hooked up incorrectly?

Still don't know what engine your working with and assuming your asking about the starboard side. The only thing that comes to mind is an electric choke but most of them use a spade terminal.

I just tapped into the purple wire at the coil. Thanks for your help!

Sounds good.
BTW that's not the correct slave solenoid. It will do the job but it's supposed to be held on with two screws. You should have the one with a flat base.
