shift lever adjustments

Hello,
I have an older (late 90's era), original commander series dual lever remote control. part # 88688A22. It seems as if the levers are out of adjustment. When in neutral both levers are even but one lever is in between clicked or locked position (ball inside unit is in between recessed slots). Is there any adjustment for this. Also, is there any shift stop adjustments to control the throw of each lever. One lever has alot more throw than the other. I have searched high and low on the net for an installation or users manual but have been unable to find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The following links show the model that I have.

Re: shift lever adjustments

Thanks for the advice guys. The starboard shift lever was very very stiff and after some experimentation I decided it was the upper shift cable. I yanked it and found a tear in the housing. The inner cable would bind up about half way through the six inch travel. I ordered a new cable from Iboats so we'll see what happens when i re-install it. Don S, thanks for the link to the control manual. I spent a couple of hours looking for those on the net. Should have posted here first. Hopefully I can get the shift levers to line up pretty close with the same amount of throw in each.
