This is on an 05/06 Quicksilver Commander 4000, boat is an 06.
Please excuse me for not knowing the proper name of this part. The part that you pull up on when your hand is on the throttle lever that allows the handle to unlock and move from neutral(where it gets stuck) and into forward or reverse. It's on the back side of the lever, bottom of the hand hold. I am not talking about the button that allows you to apply throttle while in neutral.
This makes it really difficult when I'm docking, or coming in close to an object and I need to shift from neutral/forward/reverse to control my approach. It takes a lot of force to get it to unlock and allow lever movement, but once it does, all feels fine.
Is this fixable? Common? Parts needed? Search results are mostly about the button at the bottom of the handle that faces the inside of the boat and allows throttle in neutral, which this does not pertain to.
Thank you.
