Shift linkage/cable adjustment?

I just put a new lower (SE116) on my Alpha one gen II and it works, but when I shift in to forward or reverse, it makes a clicking sound like the gears are not meshing up like they should, is there some kind of adjuster that I need to set for it to go right in to gear?

If that is the orginal lower shift cable it is really OLD


You sure you removed the old drive while it was in FORWARD and got the roller back in the shift slide
