Shift Problem

When ever i shift in forward ,after shifting back in neutral the prop remain spinning. what i need to do ?( 1992 regal 233xl 5.7 Litre)

This is a Mercruiser?.......
If it won't come out of gear under load, it is most likely the shift interrupt switch that has a problem.....
First thing to do is test the switch......
If you can, try to be more desciptive of your problem/symptom....
Does it do the same in reverse?.....
Friction from the gear lube can make it spin slightly while out of gear as well.....​

No it dont do the same in reverse . and yes it is a mercrusier .
