SHIFT ROD SCREW J48ESLED (PICS) UPDATE

Need a little guidance here fellas. Changing water pump on my '96 48HP. Not sure which is the screw I need to remove. There are 2. Do I need to remove "A" or "B" or both? Thanks for the help.

Ok all finished and a total success. Went back to together in a breeze and good strong stream out the telltale on muffs. Will take it out tomorrow for a lake test and might as well pack a couple rods as long as Im going. Thanks again Walker for the quick response.
