Shifting noise

I have a 2004 150 4 stk.

When shifting into reverse there is a grinding noise . But stops when in reverse but than there is a gap as I move further in reverse before I get any throttle move ment .( prop movement )
What's Up ?

its mostly normal, check the shift slide position,if the marks line up your probably shifting to slow.
dont baby it into gear.
