20140119_141841.jpgI bought a boat a couple months ago and it has a small rubber exhaust pipe. It doesn't connect to the outdrive so the exhaust comes out the prop, it makes it come out in front of the leg. This is designed this way. Any one have one of these and how does the sound compare to a prop exhaust?

I think that is the new style when the drive is down it should slip in to another pipe.

Ayuh,.... With the drive down, 'n runnin',... It IS a thru-prop exhaust,...

Trimmed high, it's slightly louder, but not much,...

You just have the tube, rather than a bellows,...

Which BTW is foolproof and doesn't rip or pop off and get kinked ..... when you change your driveshaft and shift cable bellows just keep using the exhaust tube

Re: short exhaust bellow

I figured this out last year when a friend bought a new boat with an Alpha drive. Apparently that is the way people are doing the bellows too and it makes sense since that is the one that rips first and no real need for it to be continuous.
