Depends on your skill level, but many people have done this with great success. I would contact an outboard motor salvage yard and work a deal to get/swap everything you need. In some cases, you can luck out and just swap powerheads and prop. The main difference will be "the midsection, and the driveshaft/water tube in the lower foot".
