I got rid of my oil resevouer and mix the gas myself now. I had no problems for two months but now my warning horn beeps short tones(sometimes four times,sometimes more) according to my sticker that means no oil. The beeps only happen intermitantly and my engine does not go into SLOW mode. What gives? If the oil resevouer wires are disconnected (creating an open to ground) why would it alarm? I have done steps mentioned in another forum to get rid of oil res. and have not had problems until recently.It ran fine for 30hrs or so after . I am wondering about what sensor indicates "no oil"? I have disconnected the wires going to my oil resevour and these wires when grounded give a "low oil" tone. Does the engine sense oil mixture somehow? I am pretty sure I am using 50:1.
