I hope he's on the next flight that I'm on
Me too!

Speaking of the media. I was watching CSI-Las Vegas a while back. (that one is the worst of the three, factually,IMHO).

The "hero" was having problems with a passenger that was beaten to death by fellow passengers because he tried to get into the cockpit. He felt the beaten passenger was not given a fair shake. After 9/11 I'm surprised he wasn't launched overboard at 30,000 feet., the network wanted me, and the rest of the audience, to know that we are all barbarians.

I guess I'm a barbarian. I find it interesting that most of these thoughts are from ACTORS that spend their entire lives trying to be something they are NOT.

Yes, I agree. I used to believe that staying in the middle made me smart. Now I know it is a weak position. This is a two party system, get behind one or the other or there is not much point. Local politics are probably an exception.

Re: Shots fired

There is a reason we have elections every 4 years. I believe in getting behind one party per term but not per lifetime. That to me is blind faith.

Yup. I will never understand that phenomenon. These people lead lives that are sooo different from your average American's. Why are their opinions as valuable as mine, not more, as?

The other thing is that these people make a lot of money. They pay accountants to take advantage of any tax breaks they can and then clamor for higher taxes. Cracks me up!!!

It's because their party supports the decadence they love so much. Drugs, immorality, homosexuality, no responsibility for your actions etc. If the left continues, the *********s will be the next "downtroden discriminated" "group" demanding equality. I know I'll get flamed for that but so be it.

I could never understand how the "Actors" were called to Congress to testify as "experts" because they played one once?

I didn't know I couldn't use that word. I guess it's on an "automatic censor" list. I couldn't have been modded that fast. I was refering to those who abuse children.

Re: Shots fired

CNN is now saying "Did Marshalls have to shoot to kill?" What an idiotic BS question. The man shouted he had a bomb!!!!!! Blow him away and ask other questions later.
However,if he DID HAVE A BOMB and the Marshall didn't shoot, the Marshall would be wrong again in the eyes of the media for not protecting the innocent lives he caused to be lost. Geez, what morons.

Re: Shots fired

The FAM did the right thing. For all they knew he could have been a suicide bomber. Someone ready to kill themsleves and take 100's maybe even 1,000's of people down with him. A suicide bomber could very well look like someone off their meds, the FAM couldn't have possibly known. They were right in their assumption and did the job they were hired to do.

I'm sure the FAM that did the fateful shooting is suffering emotionally. I feel for him and the family of the victim but he gave them no choice.

Re: Shots fired

To those that say they are not trained to shoot to kill, it came from a homeland security official that the air marshalls are trained to shoot to kill if they have to dis-charge their weapon.

It was noted by an eyewitness that 4 or 5 rounds were fired, maybe from the same AM or maybe 2.
It don't matter, they handled the situation and stopped the threat, next flight is loading now.

All 'board.

You are correct IM not so HO LF
I'm sure if he could read your post here in iboats he would be thankfull for your thoughts.

Emotionally, I don't think you need to worry about him. He is most likely a ex combat vet, cia, police officer, or special ops and has BTDT before and knows he did the right thing.

His biggest worry is the main stream Liberial Media trying to hang him out to dry. Just another way to get back at President Bush. And at that he already knows he just a pawn in a chess game!
It is really a shame.
