From what I have seen of the boat it looks to be in just grate shape. Its coming from a boat store, and they are selling it for a woman. This woman was the first owner and has had some money problems and obviously didint use the boat very much if it only has 40 houres on it.
The boat is a Bayliner 185 with a Mercruser 3.0 The salesman was willing to sell it for just under 10,000, abd that means payments of 130-140$ a month for 10 yrs wich I can make happen. Im still new to the boating world and just need help deciting what to do, any advice is gratefull thanks.

... well that boat is approaching 4 years old. warranties have probably run out. with the 09's coming in at $12.5K, your 05' , IMO, is close to new boat prices. your 10K can probaly come close to scoring a non-registerd close out or inventory 06', '07. close outs are considered still new and carry full factory warranties.

If your are set on the 05' offer 8 grand and wait for a response.

Actually, I think it's a pretty good deal. It's a 185 w/ 40 hrs. which means it is basically just broken in.
If I were to sell my 05 175, I wouldn't take less than 9K and after looking at what they are going for in my area, I'm sure I could get it.

An '09 185 w/ 3.0 after tax-license-dealer prep would cost over 18K out the door.

I bought my 06 175with 60hrs in oct 07 for $7900 from a local person. It was a good price as per blue book value. The local dealer said they would list it around 8500-9000,so i don't think that yours is a bad deal.now i did get a bim and fish/deph finder also.

I don't.
An '09 185 MSRP w/3.0 is over 18K
