Should I buy it?

I have an opportunity to purchase a 2005 19' Trophy - 1902 walkaround - with a 150HP Mercury Saltwater engine (2 stroke - oil injected) and trailer. It's a leftover and still brand new. With trading in my 1987 50HP 14' bass boat, i can get the Trophy for $15,995. NADA on-line seemed to put that year Trophy at about $11K. Does this sound like a really great deal? It does to me. I don't think I could EVER get a new walkaround boat for under $20K. Even though this is 2005 year, it's still has 0hrs on engine. I've looked at a few other places and there are deals to be had, but I don't know if I could do that well. I checked Trophy's website and this boat with 150HP engine and trailer are $35K MSRP.

What do you think? Could I do better?

just remember that once it leaves the dealer it is worth the high side of blue book. that is a big depreciation right off the bat. but if you plan on keeping it for years, go for it.

Sounds like a good deal. What's the warranty situation?

it's supposed to come with all the factory warranties. This is something I plan to review closely before I sign. I want to make sure it's from time of sale not time of mfg.

Good plan. If it is from time of sale....then I'd say it's a great deal! Good luck!
