I have a 58', 18hp Johnson that uses a 6gal pressure tank and wanted to know if I should take the fuel line off after every use or does it matter either way???

-Jay

I think it matters, Jay.

The pressure remaining in the tank when you shut the engine off stays on the carb float needle and could cause a leak problem.

I always disconnected pressure tanks when I shut down.

Like JB, I always disconnected the fuel line when I had a '57. I also cracked the top of the gas tank to release pressure in the tank, else the rubber line stays pressurized. If that line springs a leak while under pressure, gas will continue to spray out until tank pressure is reduced.
