I have a 79 70hp Chrysler, model 709h9a. I don't think it needs much, but should I get a parts motor if it isn't too much, just in case? What's the most I should spend on one, and what powers/models should I consider if I find one that isn't that exact same as mine?

Re: should I get a parts motor?

i have a 86 50 hp force. i bought a 79 chrysler 45 hp very clean, hardley used, 130 pounds compression in both cylinders for 100.00. the only thing it needed was points/condenser. i feel bad about using the motor for parts, but it is what it is...... now i have almost all the parts for repair!
