Invest in the money necessary to buy lunch and beers for the experienced boat guy you need to take with you. Sure the list will help, but it is not the end all beat all answer to deciding your future years of time, money, and energy. As guys, we always think it's funny for a woman to pick a car based on the sheet metal, but when us same guys get near a boat while we have money in our pocket, there is that moment of being "stupid". That guy with you is your safety net. It's worth the beers and lunch to take him.

One thing tho...that seating layout was not even an option on that size/year/maker of boat that I can find. They have taken the rear jump seats, and put them up into their "sunpad" position, and added some pontoon seating (or spent some serious money at the custom shop) to the interior to give it that arena seating layout. Not saying there is anything wrong with that, it actually is a neat idea, and looks great! However...it covers up ALOT of floor space that you will not be able to easliy check for soft spots. You will NEED to remove those two squares of padding back behind the cup holders, and check the floors back there...those are the two jump seats that used to be beside the engine. That will take a bit of climbing, and dexterity to get down in there to properly check it out. Each of those seats *should* have a removable seat pad. Get down into each one and stand in it. Stomp around. Jump around. (sounds like an old '80s rap song :D ). If the owner balks at this...walk away.

Sadly, WBC I dont have any friends with boating experience....but if i did I certaintly would take them for a beer and lunch for the help. The best I can do is a phone call to my Dad... who is excellent with boats and boating.... so I will have to be his eyes and he my ears.

And thanks Infidel... i will definately do that... did think about getting behind those cusions in the back.... and now that you mention it Im gonna get inside the ones on the port side as well.
