I am just curious if I should worry about the speakers in -20 temps during the MN winter. I am going to remove the amp and head unit but is it necesarry to remove the speakers? There poly marine rated speakers.

You don't have to remove any of it unless the manufacturer lists a storage temperature that's not as low as the temperatures you expect.

You don't remove the radio and speakers from your car or truck, do you?

The only thing I take home in the winter is the fishfinder with LCD display. Only because the manual says that storage temparture is from -4?F to +167?F. It sometimes goes below -4?F. The rest either stays inthe boat or in the unheated cottage.

Life time Mn Boy here... I have never had a speaker go bad from the cold. I cant imagine u havn probs letting em freeze, especially when your not even using em. I have hopped in my ride when its well below zero and blasted the stereo, :p Party on Dude !:p If they were gonna blow or whatever, that would be the time. As Sea Ray 175 said... Keep em dry.....
