Just bought a new boat with an 1989 125 force and am wondering if I should change my thermostat?

Im not having any problems with the boat, but am wondering if I should incorporate the thermostat into my yearly maintenance plan.

I will be running it in salt water.

Thanks,

Mike

Re: should I replace my thermostat?

It couldnt hurt but I would check it first to see if it is working before spending the cash on it , I change the impeller every year on all my motors and the houseings when they start pitting. Havent had a theromostat go out on me in a very long time.

Flush the motor after each use in salt water .
