Re: Should my boat be faster?

That sucks, I got a brand new prop for mine for $90. Glad it might be a simple solution though.

Ya could have mentioned your prop wasn't looking too good! :) Must have vibrated your good senses out of your head.

it didnt physically look damaged other than a few nicks but he said one of the blades took a good hit, which doesnt suprise me, but that blade was set back almost 1/8th of an inch at the tip over the other 2 blades... i hope this fix's it

I have a 2010 tinny with S/C and it weighs in at 585lb. With a 30hp I can get 25 with the wife, dog, 7 gals of gas and 2 batteries.

Not sure what relevance this has... I've got a 17 footer with 18 gallons of gas, 4 batteries, an 85 horse, troller, fishin gear. I prolly have 1500 pounds on your little boat... What does this have to do with the topic?

Re: Should my boat be faster?

I have a new 16 ft heavy gauge aluminum boat that is probably a little heavier with a 60 HP Yamaha and a much different design. Mine is a windshield boat. A bass boat with that weight and HP should be much faster. I can get up to 38MPH on a good ay.

Force 85 Min WOT 4500 Max WOT 5500 2:1 Ratio with 10% slip a 21P at 5400 would be 48mph

A 19" prop may still be too much. A 17" may be in your future.
