Shouldn’t my Cobra SX outdrive tilt further?

I do not have a separate tilt/trim switch. When tilting up, it goes to the position showed in the picture and stops. At this point, the hydraulic pump clearly changes tone like it is no longer moving fluid, or said differently, like it cannot do anything more. First pic is of foot. Second is of ram. I think the ram should extend further and the foot should be further from the ground. Thoughts?

Is the drive fully trimmed up or in trailer position?

thats about all there is.

also, when taking a picture of trees, zoom out from the bark. when taking a picture of the outdrive, we should see the outdrive and transom. kind of puts things in perspective

Do you have a swim deck? Reason I ask, is on my boat have a swim deck and the rams have a limit added inside them to prevent the drive from hitting the swim deck. Dave-R

That makes sense. My similar OMC Cobra tilts up pretty far but the built in platform on our boat is high enough that no trim limiters were needed. Post a pic of the drive and transom so we can see how close it comes. It may be due to the design of the boat.

Have you checked the fluid level in the reservoir?
