I have a 1992 Johnson 9.9hp J10Rena that pumps water to the thermostat.
If I turn a hose loose inside the thermostat hole water comes out the pee hole.
Yet when I put the therm cover on without the thermostat, no water get to the pee hole.
The thermostat is new but I notices there should be something called an isolator in there too. Is it necessary?
I had a big problem with salt blockage but it worked last year after cleaning it up a lot.
