Here's what I caught when I was in the Maya Riviera a couple weeks ago.
A Dorado and a tuna. It was so much fun, I'm doing it again next year...this time for 2 weeks. :-D
Nice catch! To tell you the truth though, I was more excited when I saw the rod pic. Something about a rod bending almost straight down like that, that is just too cool. Man I need to find a place around here to catch bigger fish.
For reference I'm about 6'4, 275. These both were in Port O Connor Texas. The redfish was taken on dead squid around 6:30am while casting into a feeding frenzy. It came in at 43 inches, 36lbs.
The sheepshead was caught around 1am fishing with dead shrimp off a boat dock along the intercoastal. It was right next to a cleaning station for a local bait stand. It was came in at 14.9lbs, around 4 ozs. short of a state record. Had we gotten it certified right at the time it was caught, it could have challanged the state record. Unfortunately, we didn't have access to a certified scale until around 6 hours later.
