It would be fun if everyone would with us some of your picks of skiing, slalom, kneeboarding, tubing, wakeboarding, whatever. Skibrain has shown several of his awesome slalom pics, but I know some of you other folks have some too. Post 'em up. Some vids would be sweet too. :)

I was skiing this morning with my buddy Rich. He has an awesome stacked body position as he edges out of his turns. Elbows in tight. Handle down by his hips with the load going through his core into his legs. zoom.

Low speed fun. My son and nephew riding plywood saucers. Maybe 7-8 mph.

Re: Show Us Your Pics

I got a video! Just trying to coax Google Video into participating with me though. In the meantime, here's a few pics. The first is from September long last year, my 8 year old knee boarding (then 7 years old). The other one is just me and my youngest messing around. I have some pics of my wife wake boarding but I don't have permission to post them.

I can't believe the weather last year. This weekend has been horrible. Haven't been out in a few weeks now.

EDIT: the first pic was taken from the balcony of my parent's house on the lake.

LOL hope she didn't face plant after that!

Found out the problem with Google Video - they no longer take video uploads - basically I need to sign up for YouTube now and link the accounts. So, I've got a busy week, but soon you'll see a video of a 300 pound wake boarder...

Wow great video. God I hate kneeboarding when it's choppy like that!

Re: Show Us Your Pics

meeeeeeee too!

This weekend was interesting. It was my wife's family reunion, and everyone in that family is enormous. My boat was pretty much at full capacity (weight and persons) all weekend, and I was towing really heavy loads. As I mentioned in my last post, there was a 7'4" 440 lb guy on the tube, and at one point I had a total of 490 lbs on the tube! It was awesome! Too bad none of use are wakeboarders, because I was making one heck of a wake.

I was so busy towing everyone else around that I was only able to get one ski run, and it was pretty choppy. There is a short clip of me skiing in the vid I posted, that's the only one:( Hard to tell, but I think I'm gonna like the HO ski.

Re: Show Us Your Pics

Our camera ran out of battery when I got a shot at the Triumph ski. Loved it!!!!! :D Especially the boot binding. Hopefully it will last more than a few days before we break something on it! My deep water start was just a bit more difficult, but once up the ride is way better than the Big D..

Now if I can just complete a deep water start with a one handle rope instead of the two handle V

It truthfully was way too choppy for slolam most of the weekend. The one day we got up early we let my cousin give about 100 trys at wakeboarding which was unsuccessful, but whereas we get to ski way more than anyone else we gave up our turns for others.

We will have tons of pics in 2 weeks I'll make sure of it ;)

Where were you all trying to ski at? I know Grand isn't much fun to ski on when it's one of the big 3 weekends, but where do you all normally run around? The wind was rediculous Memorial Day weekend, so I'm glad I wasn't out on the water.

We were at Four Seasons Resort, east of sailboat bridge. I went lookin for some calm water, but couldn't find any. We are normally at Lake Eufaula, so I wasn't too familiar with the lake, but we didn't want to get far from the marina because I had a line of people awaiting a turn on the boat all weekend.

Well you can't get much better location on the lake than that as far as getting away from the craziness on the south end of Grand. I think it was just too windy, regardless of the Labor Day weekend crowd. If you can get towards the middle part of Grand on Horse Creek (preferrably far north past the Bernice bridge, you can get away from the big dogs since most can't fit under the Bernice bridge since it has less than about 6-7' clearance from the water. Lots of room up there to run around and some good wind breaks. If you went to the south of Sailboat Bridge (Carey Bay), that can usually be a good spot to ski/tube as well.
