That's the great part about buying somebody's project boat that's 90% done (as long as you know what to look for)...they've already done all of the expensive restoration things and just want to recoup as much $$ back out of the project as they can get since they've become bored or impatient with the project . Even with the new engine and stern drive AND a new trailer he was only asking $6500 for it. I can't wait to get it in the water! Is will defiantly be different from that little bow-rider!

I just joined iboat looking for info on older Alumacraft. Show yer boat is great.
My last project was a Turner Turnabout that I got while I was at the dump, she was going in the wood pile.

My 1975 16' Calfornia with a Volvo Penta AQ120B/280. It still needs lots of work, but I did get a few good runs out of it:

Here is our first ever boat. Boy! growing up around boats is NOTHING like owning one. It's still worth it though! every minute of it. 1999 Proline, 17' with Mercury 125, 2 stroke.

Here's mine. 1973 14' something with a 1969 Chrysler 35 hp w electric start. Runs like a charm, starts immediately, idles perfectly. I just hope nothing major happens to the motor due to parts availability.

I don't have any pics of my Southwind yet, but here's my dad's pride and joy.

1973 DiMarco Flat bottom. .8:1 Overdrive Casale V-drive, 427 Ford center oiler with factory dual-quad Holleys. Edelbrock wet-stacks. REALLY fast

It is great to see so many small boats, old classics and plain jane boats, refreshing. Here is our not so old Boston Whaler Nantucket 190 (same as Outrage 190) tied to dock at a rental home a few weeks past.

Here's my 1983 18' Centurion Openbow with a Volvo AQ145A and 280 outdrive just a few days after I bought it. Done quite a bit of work to it since then, but still can't get her to start and take the maiden voyage yet. :(

Here's a bit of the original color scheme that I'm working on uncovering... Previous owner didn't like it, and shot it white.
