I wanna see your favorite boat over the years! Had a bunch myself, own 4 now, but this 1974 Switzercraft (Made in Fox Lake, Illinois by Bobby Switzer, and you might have seen it on the Chain-o-Lakes in the late 70's) was my favorite. Bought it from the original owner/friend after many fun rides in it. A REAL babe magnet! 150XS Merc, short shaft 2 blade SS prop tossed a awesome "tail"....just to much fun! Foot throttle, steering wheel trim switches, rode real neat with bit of "sawing" on the wheel to keep it riding the "pad" Never left the dock without 3 plastic 6 gallon full tanks (18 Gallons), along with a red and white Playmate cooler that held 18 beers!
The Menehune is a 26' Tollycraft sedan bridge.
These days it's all about keeping the kid happy :)
It's got hot water, a shower, fridge, propane fireplace, heat, good tunes, dvd / tv, bbq...
I have to mention the mood lighting in the love-pit. :)
Oooh mama!
My favorite is my current boat as well. It is and always will be my avatar (unless I change boats).

It is a 1997 Barefoot Sanger with a '97 Merc 200 EFI. Incredibly quick, really fun to drive, and one of the best barefoot wakes I have ever had the pleasure of skiing.

Re: SHOW YER BOAT!

Nice rides :)
Pony, don't be embarrased. Jeez, my first boat was a lot uglier than that nice aluminum you have there.
Quietcat, that's beautiful... do you let people in it? :)
Triton II, The fella' I bought the boat from liked to 'deep anchor'. It has 350' of chain in the bow for that picture! I took half of it out and replaced it with rope. The bow came up 4". I rarely anchor anywhere other than in a sheltered area, close to shore with a stern line out. There's a million places like that around here.
Anyhow, let's see some more pictures!

05Glastronsx,
How fast is your boat with the 150 outback?
Nice lookin boat!!!(note I have a 175sx).

Pony85,
The best boat I ever owned was alot like yours,
a 12' Grumman with a 7.5hp honda and a merc 9.9
Both great motors, never left me stranded and I could tow the whole rig with a honda Civic!!

Re: SHOW YER BOAT!

ya launch it with a crane there is a lifting eye built into the keel which lines up with the main hatch

it even sits level when its on the hook :D

and that 900 pound block of lead on the bottom keeps things on the ground ;)

now i just got to find the guy i sold it to and buy it back i am tired of power boats now :p

f38a025d.jpg

but then there are advantages to getting there faster

tommays

Thanks!!

It's a 6.2 MPI Bravo 1. Saw 55 mph early this season, now I'm playin' with props and such to see how much I can slow her down . . . at least that has been the result so far :D

57 was the best i could get on gps with 2 people and a half tank of gas in very good conditions. my lake is generally very calm with little to no waves. im sure i could hit 60 if i had a different prop on. my prop on it right now is the stock aluminum 14x21. i bet if i put a 3 blade stainless on i could hit over 60 with 1 person.
