I have a 1996 bravo 2 on a 26se welcraft excel. when I went to trim the lower unit from trailer mode to run mode so I could get the boat off the trailer the lower unit went down, but as soon as I let off the switch the lower unit came right back up and the trim pump kept running. If the sender wires are shot could this be the cause? If not could cold weather ( 30 degreese)
cause the cylinoid to stick?Any ideas?

Thanks steve

Shorted sender or limit switch wires cannot cause the trim pump to run in either direction. I agree with the above, start with the switch.
