I actually have the Shurhold buffer to. I love it. The finish on my starcraft looks like glass after I am finished. I used the Harbour freight units in the past but my new buffer is better.

I have used the Porter Cable 7424XP for 10 years now and never a problem. I also just recently purchased a Flex dual action. Unlike the Porter Cable the Flex has a forced dual action. The spinning action is set and will not stop spinning under a load like the Porter Cable and other dual action polishers. For heavy oxidized gel coat you will been a rotary machine and wool pads. The dual action will do it but it will take forever.

The Shurhold polish is excellent. It has plenty of UV protectant. Do not wax over the polish.

Thanks handi2 for the info. i am trying to find out the best way to get the shine back on my boat. I have never done this before. I want to do it rite the first time and have it looking good
