Where? A much better discription of the location of the small hole will be helpful. If it is the vent at the top of the housing, it would never work rght with silicone blocking it.
See if that flat ring fits at the groove in the upper part of the housing.My bet is that it will.
It should make a good seal between the metal impeller cover and the housing without blocking the air vent.
Your right, it does. There is a beefy O ring that came with the kit that is the exact same diameter, thats what I had in the groove. Does the flat ring go in the groove and the O ring go somewhere else?
im useing the sierra kit had the same prob i originaly did as gary and used my old houseing then i had probs in the mud and went with sierra kit as ezeke
said there are sometimes and oring under the impellar then ther is and oring on the drive shaft if ya have the groove then there is a little larger oring between pump houseing and cup .
sierra gives no instructions and for that reason i have stopped useing there parts .i have tryed sierra carb kits and have found them lacking in guality
