I think our first switch to blended fuels predated the MTBE additives, there were only a few locations in the country that were required by law to to use oxygenated fuels and the Puget Sound region was one of them. This was a seasonal thing back then and we would switch back and forth between normal and blended fuels depending on the time of year. During that first switch all of the normal problems with ethenol were common. I will check into this further.
