I pulled my exhaust tips to cut out the annoying metal flappers that keep water from going back up into the motor...replaced with the exterior rubber flappers on the ends of the tips...

Anyhow, guy at my local boat shop gave me "3M Marine Sealant Silicone" Its "Low Strength" and is labeled removeable as opposed to permanent. Says ideal for sealing trim, hatches, drip rails, and moldings. Is this the right stuff or should I go back and get more "Permanent" stuff?

Depends if the are above or below the water line. Personally I wouldn't use sillycone to seal anything on the hull. Maybe to seal around a interior trim and panels, but that's about it.
