Your a lightweight. That's a weekend's provision for the group of six that I travel with. We are trying to pack lighter but leaving out the beer and whiskey just isn't in the cards. We're heading for an island camp in northern Quebec in early June for a week.

My dad uses fenders in a very unusual way; he attaches a clip to each end of a couple fenders then attaches one end to the dock, the other to the boat (its a pontoon). When I first saw it, I thought it would never work. That was about 10 years ago, and he is still using the same fenders.

I have seen that done with larger boats and it seemed to work well,,, really cheap.
