I am buying a new sun tracker tomorrow and i am new to boats but they are charging me 700 for a mooring cover. does that seem steep?

not if it's a good one, and of course depends on the size of the boat. And if "they" know what they are doing, it may be worthwhile b/cit's ahrd to get one that really fits. Sometimes when buying a new boat you just have to pay more but get it rigged right to begin with, and not worry about cheaper alternatives (what's the % of $700 v. the whole price tag?). You would not make many friends at the dock if you went the cheap route and put a blue tarp and boards on it.

Also, I assume it's going to be moored? Mooring covers can be more that general covers. No pun intended

I just a use 1 blue tarp + 4 bungee chords to cover my boat in the front yard. It looks great, keeps the boat dry and only cost about $20 total. Plus, my boat is blue and white so it sorta matches and everything.
