I previously posted the pitting here:
http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=391973

My follow up question: What can I apply to seal up the pitting, easily and inexpensively? This assumes I do not remove what coating is there? My thoughts so far:

- Sharkhide: seems to be a protectant and not really a sealer
- 3m 5200 sealer: would be kind of ugly and icky but should worl
- hardward store silicone sealant: like above but can be had in clear
- Paint: cheap but maybe not last
- other: ??

It will be on a lift, and even when in the water, no one I know on the lake has ever had this kind of problem or growth, it is a very mild lake. All I care about is sealing up the pits and enjoy boating.

I would talk to a couple of marine stores and paint dealers and see what they recommend, then paint the toons with a couple of coats. There are marine paints out there that will do a great job and also keep the toons from fouling.

I tried the link, but it was a dead end.

Could you try again.

Thanks!
