what is the typical size hose to use for a water pressure gauge? I'm going to assume use whatever the size inner diameter is the same as the pee hole hose?

I was just gonna cut mine and take half of it to lowes and match up to some ice maker hose and then get the appropriate brass nipple for my gauge and "T" for the pee line.

makes sense to me but god only knows at this point lol.

It doesn't matter. No water flows in that tube. Air is compressed in the tube. If you think about it, 35 PSI in your car tires is no different than 35 PSI in a tube the size of a pencil. There is just more air in the tire. The tubes that come with the WP gauge are perfectly adequate.
