ah. that warm storagemakes a big difference; otherwise i'd rather have an OB for up at your latitude. you've no doubt seen the # of motors where the owner forgot to winterize and now there's a cracked block.
i have both OB and !/o versions of the 18' hull. I/O would be fine in a Holiday but it gets a little tight in the cockpit with doghouse on a Starchief. I/O gives you the biggest advantage of a modern 4-stroke or DFI 2-stroke OB....fuel economy.....at a lot less $$$$. but you do have keep up with condition of the various bellowses on outdrive.
