skeeter ss 90 jackplate

what are the pros/cons of installing a jackplate on a ss 90 with a 90 hp engine? does anyone have any thoughts regarding setback distance? i previously posted this in the general forum, before i realized there was a skeeter forum. thx for any help.

I have a CMC tilt/trim bracket, sets my Merc 800 back about 6-7 inches and I love it, it came basically free with my boat as well

Pros-

better handling
quicker planing
better bite into the water for the prop/less ventilating
frees up room at the stern of the boat for other stuff/swim platform
makes the boat longer


Cons-

makes the boat longer(I have a dimensionally challenged garage)
may cause stern to be lower in the water while anchored
kinda pricey to buy brand new
can't think of any others
