Skeg replacement-is this a good price?

Local shop quoted me 175.00 for skeg replacement on a Alpha one...add 50.00 if they R&R lower from boat. Good price or should I keep looking?

That doesn't seem like that bad of price, but I would get a second opinion just to be sure.

I paid 15 for the skeg and 70 for the weld job, 15 years ago.

If you haven't, go direct to a prop repair shop, not a dealer. Dealers charge almost double.
