Ski behind a Pontoon Boat?

Is this possible? Desirable? What about the brands with a 3rd(center) pontoon?

you can basically ski behind anything as long as it goes the required speed for ski'ing .......

If it has enough power to pull a skier up and enough speed to keep them up then yes but you may need a bigass motor to do it. I see many pulling tubes around here in the summer but have not seen anyone ski behind one around here.

Possible? I guess so if you have enough power and speed

never seem it be done but i guess with enough HP it could happen but i don't think it would be fun. i would say if your shoping around maybe you should consider a deck boat if sking is something you want.

I have done it and the ride is less than exhilarating. You don't need as much motor as you think. A good rule of thumb is if the boat can hit about 30 mph with no skier then it will probably have enough to to tow an average size skier who has adequate skill getting out of the water.
